1 Design a mold to your coin. Use clay and model it to your desired shape, including the logo you want to exhibit.

2 Protect the inside of any plastic storage container and the entire surface of the mold with any thin layer of petrol jelly. Insert your designed mold into the center of the container.

3 Combine enough plaster regarding Paris to fill the mold plus container. Add the combined plaster to the plastic storage container, fully covering the clay mold. Remove the air bubbles from the plaster by means of tapping the container on some table or resist best one or two times. Leave the plaster to set. Dry times will differ depending on the brand of plaster and the sum used.

4 Remove the plaster from the storage container and remove the clay mold. Wipe away any petroleum jelly, using exclusive old rag.

5 Liquefy enough pewter ingots to fill your mold. Place the ingots inside a cast iron pot plus melt it, using some butane torch. Proceed the flame of the torch over top regarding the ingots until they are completely melted. Impurities will float to the best of the pewter plus can be skimmed off in a steel spoon.

6 Place your clean up plaster mold onto a metal cookie sheet. Pour the melted pewter onto the mold. Make use of severe caution. The pewter will be incredibly hot and may cause serious injury. To maintain your hands from burns, wear heatproof work gloves. Also wear defensive eye belongings.

7 Leave your filled mold to cool and set. Total cooling times will vary depending on the size of the mold, but typically it takes approximately two hours.

Tips & Warnings
